More
Benjamin draws experience from more than 15 years of theater and dance work, and for about 5 years he worked with the Grinberg method, the Pantarei Approach with queer clients* and groups in various queer contexts.
His experience allows him to hold and carry different dynamics and spaces. In workshop contexts he considers it essential to constantly evolve himself and to learn with and from the participants…

This workshop will explore the topic of ‘queer sensitivity’. As something that empowers us in our Queerness and empathy for life, that nourishes our ability to love others and ourselves.

Let us celebrate our ‘queer superpower’ supported by a group of queer people. Breathe, move, dance, expand, talk, shake, let go, create…

Who is this workshop for?

‘Queer Sensitivity’ is aimed at people who want to develop and sensitise their individual Queerness with direct physical, sensory and emotional input. We will learn, move, dance, breathe and explore together, inviting the uniqueness of each and every one.

Why Queer Sensitivity?

Our (queer) way of loving has not been given to us for granted. We had to take many decisions to live our differences, often being in conflict with what is considered as “normal”. And these experiences have surely left their marks. But even though our past might have been difficult, we can today use it as a source of energy!

We can connect to the strength of our decisions in a deeper way, be proud of what we achieved, and let our love and our queer lights shine brighter and brighter!

What will we explore?

In the five hours we will tackle the questions below – in bodywork, movement and dialogue.

  • How can we trust ourselves and each other queerly, as a physical, deep down feeling?
  • How can we feel our body as a self owned and self-evident queer shelter or safe space?
  • Which parts of yourself do you want to manifest more?
  • How can you embrace and empower the process of your own queer embodiment?
  • Can you feel more qualities of it directly? Is it powerful, light, earthy, angular, fluid, careful, amorphous, passionate, emerald green, grumpy, fragile, soft?

More
Jochen has a background in mathematics, dance and theatre and moved to Berlin 2014 after spending 16 years in the Netherlands. For years he tried to avoid confrontations with his own fears (and failed at that). Today as Bodyworker of Pantarei Approach and the Grinberg Method, he acknowledges the realness of any kind of feelings and emotions, and teaches people to use them as a source of energy (instead of looking at them as a problem).
Jochen is a genderqueer person in a body is mostly perceived as cis-male. She responds well to all kind of pronouns, but being addressed as female makes her especially happy.
